Made slowly, on purpose.
Lavender & Lather started in a small Toronto kitchen with one rule: if we wouldn't put it on our own skin, it doesn't go in the soap. What began as gifts for friends turned into a studio full of purple swirls, dried botanicals, and the smell of lavender.
We make cold-process soap the traditional way — no melt-and-pour shortcuts, no palm oil, no synthetic detergents. Just plant oils, butters, and a month of patience. Every batch is small enough to stir by hand and unique enough that no two bars look exactly alike.
How a bar is born
1. Blend
Olive, coconut, and castor oils meet shea butter, then we stir in essential oils, botanicals, and mineral-safe purple pigments.
2. Pour & rest
Each batch is poured into wooden loaf molds and rests overnight as saponification works its slow magic.
3. Cut & cure
Loaves are hand-cut into bars and cured for four full weeks on cedar racks for a hard, gentle, long-lasting bar.
4. Wrap & ship
Every bar is wrapped by hand in recyclable paper and shipped from Toronto within 2–3 business days.
